Plastic Tree’s Sato Kenken discharged from hospital, will resume activities at Nippon Budokan concert

On April 9th, it was reported that Plastic Tree’s drummer Sato Kenken has been discharged from the hospital. He will officially resume his activities in the band’s one-man live, ‘Ao no Unmeisen Saishuu Kouen: Tent (3)’, at Nippon Budokan on April 14th.

Sato was hospitalized last month due to acute hepatitis, and was forced to cancel his appearance from the band’s tour. His appearance at Nippon Budokan was decided after careful consideration from the members and management.

Below is a translated message from the members of Plastic Tree:

“Regarding Sato Kenken’s hospitalization due to poor health,

We apologize that we have caused a great amount of worry to everyone.

At this time, we would like to report that Sato Kenken has been discharged in good health.

As a result, we will stand on stage with Sato Kenken, as the original Plastic Tree for our concert ‘Ao no Unmeisen Saishuu Kouen: Tent (3)’ on April 14th at Nippon Budokan,

This is based on the doctor’s judgement and Sato Kenken’s health,

The result after careful consideration among the members and management.

There is no other happiness than being able to perform with 4 members at a special place called Nippon Budokan.“

Plastic Tree Performing Spring Tour Without Drummer KenKen!

On February 29th, Plastic Tree had been celebrating their 15th Anniversary since their major debut and also released their first single under their new record label. From March 15th, their spring tour was scheduled to start, however, as reported earlier, Drummer Satou KenKen had been hospitalized with a acute hepatitis.

It had now been announced on the official homepage, that with regard to his physical conditions, the tour will be held without him, as he is in need for rest and not able to participate.

The tour will be held as planned, yet with regret and without all four members.

"It is harsh for you as fans as well as for us as Plastic Tree, however, in our hearts we will take Satou KenKen along the journey." Says the statement on the official homepage.

Update on Plastic Tree's Drummer

 

Recently, Plastic Tree's Satou Kenken (Drums, pictured) was hospitalized for acute hepatitis, which called into question the bands upcoming oneman live tour plans. However, the band has announced that they will be taking a support drummer (called a friend of the band, no name mentioned) on tour with them and Satou Kenken will remain in the hospital.

The decision comes after talking with Kenken, and also after the band was inactive much of last year due to Ryuutaro (Vocals) having throat issues.

Plastic Tree drummer cancels his appearance from upcoming tour

It’s been revealed that visual kei band Plastic Tree’s drummer Sato Kenken has canceled his appearance from the band’s upcoming nationwide tour, “Ao no Unmeisen“. As a result, the band will hold the tour with a support member.
Earlier this month, it was reported that Sato was hospitalized due to acute hepatitis. After further examination, it was determined that he had to rest in the hospital for approximately 2 weeks.
The members of Plastic Tree commented, “For both the fans and Plastic Tree, his absence is a lonesome thing, but we will bring Sato Kenken’s spirit along with us on our journey.”
Plastic Tree’s tour will kick off on March 15th at Yokohama BLITZ for a total of 13 shows. Additionally, the band will hold a Nippon Budokan concert on April 14th.

It’s been reported that visual kei band Plastic Tree’s drummer, Sato Kenken, has been hospitalized due to acute hepatitis. Sato was absent from the band’s single release event on February 4th due to poor health conditions. He then immediately went to see a doctor, who later diagnosed him with acute hepatitis. Details on Sato’s condition will be announced later.
After welcoming their 15th anniversary year and transferring to FlyingStar Records, Plastic Tree released their single, “Joumyaku“, on February 29th.
