Acid Black Cherry’s “Yes” to be theme song for short drama, ‘Re:dream’

It’s been revealed that Acid Black Cherry’s “Yes” will be the theme song to the short drama, ‘Re:dream‘!

“Yes” is a track off of Acid Black Cherry’s 3rd album, “2012“, which topped the Oricon Weekly Album Ranking for the first time. ‘Re:dream’ was inspired by this song, and will air on BeeTV and other video distributing sites.

‘Re:dream’ will be directed by Fukagawa Yoshihiro, who’s also been in charge of ‘Byakuyakou‘ and ‘Kamisama no Karute‘. It will star Sometani Shota, the first Japanese actor to win the “MARCELLO MASTROIANNI AWARD” for the movie, ‘Himizu‘, at the ‘68th Venice International Festival‘. Alongside Sometani, the movie will star Kurashina Kana, Tabata Tomoko, and Kojima Kazuya.

Director Fukugawa commented, “I felt the theme and power in this song, and my worldview for video expanded. I materialized that and made a drama inspired by the song. I would be happy if those who watch it will like it.”

The drama is set in a mysterious world where you can’t tell the difference between dreams and reality. Sometani expressed, “It’s a strange fantasy. I had so much fun playing my role, so please enjoy it.”

‘Re:dream’ will be distributed through BeeTV starting April 18th. It will then be gradually released through other video distributing sites.

Acid Black Cherry's #1 Album Spreads Sales in Asia

It has been announced that rock band Janne Da Arc's Vocalist yasu's solo project Acid Black Cherry's 3rd album "2012" (released on 3/21) will be sold all throughout Asia.

Yasu (Acid Black Cherry) will now have his 13th album which has topped the Oricon Weekly Charts at #1 its first week. Acid Black Cherry has been trying to expand its popularity and will make that first step as they will start to sell their new album. In Taiwan and Hong Kong the album will be released tomorrow the 13th while Korea the album will be released on the 19th.

Nation wide, it has been about 2 years since a tour which will start on May 1st. Regular tickets are already being sold from the 7th of this month and tickets for the July arena performance will be sold on the 21st.

Acid Black Cherry releases 0th single PV “Kimi ga Iru kara”

Acid Black Cherry revealed in February his fourth present to his fans for the “ABC Dream CUP”anniversary project.

The present turned out to be a recording of “Kimi ga Iru kara“, a song that’s was made before the formation of ABC and performed many times live, but had previously never been recorded for distribution. (The song can be downloaded for free via PC and mobile here until July 20th 23:59 (JST))

Now just two days before the release of ABC’s upcoming album “2012“, a music video for ABC’s 0th single “Kimi ga Iru kara” has been released on the official YouTube channel. The video contains various clips of ABC performances and a few backstage shots.

Acid Black Cherry has just posted their "0th" single for free downloading on a dedicated site in both .wav and .mp3 format.

Obviously Yasu has an amazing sense of humor, as why else would he post a .wav file? Anyways, not much else to go on for this as it came into my RSS via the OHP, and I am too tired to translate, but, it is related to the "Dream Cup" tour and is Yasu's way of thanking the fans.

The download has a high-quality jacket image on the front of the site that you can save also.

Acid Black Cherry has finally revealed the 4th present for his 4th anniversary project, “ABC Dream CUP“!

“ABC Dream CUP” was started in March 2011 to thank fans who have supported him over the past 4 years. Last year, 3 out of the 4 presents were released, which included free Chaku-Uta download for all his singles, a free live concert for 40,000 fans, and a free download and streaming of the free concert.

The final present will be a free distribution of Acid Black Cherry’s single, “Kimi ga Iru Kara“. This is a song that was created even before his debut, and has been performed regularly during his lives. It was never released because yasu wanted this to be a special song that fans could only hear live. However, for this occasion, yasu decided to record the song and gift it to his fans from the bottom of his heart.

“Kimi ga Iru Kara” can be downloaded from both mobile and PC until July 20th at 11:59 pm. Those who download it via PC will also be able to download the jacket covers and hand-written lyrics.

Acid Black Cherry Reveals 4th Present, New Song!

Back in March 2011, Acid Black Cherry started his "THANKS 4 YOU ABC Dream CUP 2011" as a way of thanking fans who have always supported him. For the campaign, ABC promised four gifts. After nearly a year, the fourth and final gift has been revealed to be a free single!

"THANKS 4 YOU ABC Dream CUP 2011" started with free chaku-uta of all of his singles from “Shoujo no Inori III” to “Yes”, followed by a Free Live 2011 for 40,000 fans, and then a free download and streaming of the Free Live 2011 concert.

Now for his final gift, Yasu is distributing a song titled “Kimi ga Iru Kara” (Because there’s you). Because he wrote the song before his solo debut as Acid Black Cherry, Yasu considers it his 0th single.

In the video below, a super excited Yasu explains the last present.

“Kimi ga Iru Kara” is a relaxing, acoustic ballad that should be familiar to ABC fans as he performs it at every concert. Yasu previously stated that “Kimi ga Iru Kara” would never be recorded because he wanted the fans to always experience it live. But for this special occasion, Yasu made an exception and decided to distribute it as a present to the fans.

The song can be downloaded in WAV, MP3, and M4A format along with the the hand written lyrics here at ABC Dream CUP 2011 official website until July 20th.
