GLAY's Finale of 51-Date Tour at Nippon Budokan

J-rock band, GLAY, have ended their 34-venue and 51-date tour with an spectacular final performance at Nippon Budokan last Apr 22nd.

The 4-member rock band played for three consecutive nights at Nippon Budokan to around 42,000 fans who cheered for them. The band also performed their newest single "Bible". The song "Bible" is meant to send positive messages for the victims of Tohoku earthquake. In addition to this, band member Takuro expressed the group's desire to go on a "Tohoku earthquake reconstruction tour.”

GLAY is scheduled to performed live again at Nagai Stadium, Osaka on July 28th and 29th. "Bible" is also expected to be released on May 23rd.

GLAY reveals jacket cover of upcoming single “Bible”

As we previously reported, rock band GLAY will release their 45th single “Bible” on May 23rd, and they have now revealed the jacket cover for the single!

“Bible” is the theme song of their upcoming concert ‘GLAY STADIUM LIVE 2012 THE SUITE ROOM in OSAKA NAGAI STADIUM‘ on July 28th and 29th. The concert is supported by glico, a confectionery company famous for Pocky. The font on the jacket cover is exactly same as glico’s company logo.

Additionally, on the same release date as “Bible”, the band will release two live Blu-rays, ‘GLAY 15th Anniversary Special Live 2009 THE GREAT VACATION in NISSAN STADIUM DAY 1“ROCK”‘ and ‘GLAY 15th Anniversary Special Live 2009 THE GREAT VACATION in NISSAN STADIUM DAY2 “LOVE”‘, of their concerts in Nissan stadium back in 2009.

GLAY - New Single “Bible” release

 

Rock band GLAY has announced a new single for May.

The new single titled, “Bible” will be officially released on May 23rd and is the theme song to their upcoming concert ‘GLAY STADIUM LIVE 2012 THE SUITE ROOM in OSAKA NAGAI STADIUM’ to be held on July 28th and July 29th.

“Bible” will come with two coupling songs. The first is a new song “Ano Hi no Shounen” and the second will be “Thank you for your love“, a digital single that was released in May of 2011.

The single will come in two editions. The limited edition will have a DVD that carries the music video and making-of “Bible”. It will also have a clip of their “GLAY HIGH COMMUNICATIONS TOUR 2011-2012 ‘RED MOON & SILVER SUN‘”.

Yet another cover compilation CD is coming out! Counteraction —V-Rock covered Visual Anime songs Compilation— is scheduled for release on May 23rd and will cost 3,000 yen. The CD will feature visual kei bands covering anime opening and ending themes done by other visual kei artists.

GLAY to hold 2-day live in Osaka

It’s been revealed that GLAY will be holding a two-day live titled “GLAY STADIUM LIVE 2012 THE SUITE ROOM in OSAKA NAGAI STADIUM supported by glico” on July 28th and 29th at Nagai Stadium in Osaka.

The announcement was made on February 16th through FM802’s radio program, “THE NAKAJIMA HIROTO SHOW 802 RADIO MASTERS“. The 2-day live will follow the same concept as “HOTEL GLAY”, which was used back in 2009 for “THE GREAT VACATION” at Nissan Stadium. Each day will be given a different theme: the 28th is the “Super Welcome Party”and the 29th is the “Big Surprise Party”.

TAKURO commented, “Utilizing the motto, ’We are connected by a thread people can’t see’, we promise a place of hospitality and surprises this summer.”

To go with this announcement, GLAY has launched a special site for the concert within their official website.
