Two Consecutive Month Release for Baroque

 

Shortly after releasing their DVD “Re:First Live IN FUTURE 2012.1.6 Live at TOKYO DOME CITY HALL” on April 25th it was announced that Visual Kei band baroque will be having a two consecutive month release starting this June!
 

The first single titled “zazafuri ame” will be released on June 20th and the second single “mellow hollow” on July 18th. Both singles will feature only one song and cost 500 Yen each.

Moreover, the band will have a countrywide tour including 8 lives plus their final at Shibuya-AX on July 17th and another live at NHK Hall on November 7th.

Support Members Officially Joining the fool

 

On April 29th the fool celebrated their 3rd anniversary at Shibuya STAR LOUNGE and made the important announcement that support bassist DI and support drummer Shinsaku officially joined the band.
 

Both were support members for two and a half years and for all the members they've become a dispensable part of the band. Vocalist G stated that he always wanted them to join the band and finally after the fool’s European tour last year they've realized that the time has come to make this important decision.

The members hope for everyone’s support and promised to give their best as five-member band.

THE BACK HORN announces nationwide tour

 

Rock band THE BACK HORN has announced that they will be holding a nationwide tour called, ‘THE BACK HORN ‘KYO-MEI Tour’ ~Liv Squall~“!

This tour will be held to coincide with the group’s 9th album, “Liv Squall“, which will be released on June 6th. It will kick off on September 7th at Zepp DiverCity, and will wrap up on January 6th, 2013 at Nippon Budokan. The band will hold a total of 35 performances including concerts in Taiwan and South Korea.

The limited edition version of the upcoming album will enclose details on ticket pre-reservations.

Warning: The price tags on these are a little high. (Like all designer clothes, but worth the cost if you truly want a unique Visual Kei  inspired look)

For the fans that enjoy the darker, grunge side of Visual Kei (what some call Nagoya Kei), then H.naoto's Sixh line is one that should stay in your wardrobe. H.naoto is a larger brand that creates multiple lines that cater towards the individual styles in Visual Kei, Sixh. specifically may not be what some may be looking for but that certainly does not mean you have to look elsewhere. I'm going to give an overview of Sixh. first as it's a personal favorite of mine.

A brief explanation on Sixh. first. It was started by a designer, IBI, and combines the look of Visual Kei artistry with the imagery of popular hosts and hostess clubs. The new theme, Ghost-Kei, is a hybrid of Gothic and HOST. The result is an amazing assortment of clothes that mix music and fashion.

If you like the appearance of bands like Nightmare, Lynch., Deathgaze, -Oz-, and 9Goats Black Out or just want a dark yet elegant style. Sixh. clothes are mostly black with unique patterns and artistic designs. The look is casual and stylish, so walking down the street, through school, or around the mall will be perfectly natural while still staying a step ahead from the rest of the crowd.

Kuroyome - DVD + Single releases

Kuroyome is to release 2 DVD's and one single this year. The first DVD "Kuroyome 1.14" features the concert held at Daikanyama UNIT on January 14, 2012, three and a half hours after the finishing of the concert "Headache and Dub Reel Inch." They performed a rare song "SEX SYMBOL" for the first time in around 13 years. It will be release on June 13 Also contains their interview and will cost 4200 yen. First Press is currently available as well. 

The secone live DVD is titled “F**K THE FAKE STAR THE NEWEST FEATHER” and will be released on July 20. The concert was filmed earlier this year at Yoyogi National Gymnasium on February 26. The 3-disc DVD contains 34 songs plus a documentary.

The band also announced that on August 17th, they will release a new single titled "heavenly" in three editions. The CD+DVD edition will contain the title track "heavenly "and a remix of it, as well as a DVD featuring the PV and its making-of. The Type A edition will contain the title track and a cover of the rock classic "BORN TO BE WILD" by Steppenwolf. Type B will come with the title track plus a second song which is currently untitled.

Second album release from a visual kei band DAMIJAW, a solo project of ka-yu (Janne Da Arc).

It will come in two types: limited (for 3600 yen) and regular (for 3000 yen) edition.

Includes tracks "BE WITH YOU(ALBUM ver.," "WOW! WOW!(ALBUM ver.)," "Dami-jyo no Kyuketsu Akuma ga Aishita Maria (Naki)," and more for 12 tracks (subject to change). Sakanaction reveals cover for “Boku to Hana”

 

Sakanaction announced they will be providing the new theme song, “Boku to Hana” to drama series ‘37-sai de Isha ni Natta Boku ~Kenshui Junjou Monogatari~‘. Now the cover and some additional information has been released.

“Boku to Hana” will contain three songs including a remix of their previous single “Rookie“. The additional song will be “Neptunes” and the first press will contain a 20-page booklet. The CD jacket is designed by kamikkene (Hatos) who came up with the idea of a having the members illustrated on the news paper’s TV program list, to tie into the drama.

This is their 6th single and is scheduled to released on May 30th.

13 artists contribute on new BUCK-TICK tribute album

 

Rock band BUCK-TICK announced this month that they would be releasing a new single “MISS TAKE ~Boku wa Miss Take~” on July 4th. They previously announced they would be releasing another single before this one titled, “Elise no Tame ni” on May 23rd. Both singles will be released through their own label Lingua Sounda.

Now to celebrate their 25th anniversary, 13 artists will participate in a tribute album to the band called ‘PARADEII -RESPECTIVE TRACKS OF BUCK-TICK’. It’s scheduled to release on July 4th.
